SmartMOVE
Providing a true RIP Once Output Many (ROOM) solution for all your production needs.

How it works:
Workflows are dynamically created on a canvas using a simple drag, drop and link process for each required tool. Tool setup and performance characteristics can be adjusted as required. The created workflow is then given a name and activated. All input submitted to the workflow is processed in turn by each tool.

At the core of SmartMove is a PostScript Level 3 Interpreter, which interprets all PostScript and PDF files into a flat structure. The interpreted data can then be processed any number of times into any of the supported output formats thereby ensuring a true ROOM workflow. SmartMove does not re-RIP jobs, it converts the RIPed data files into the output format of choice thereby maintaining data integrity.

Interpreted jobs can be held indefinitely on the system and converted at any time to the required output format.

The SmartMove web browser interface, with its password restricted access, allows Intranet and Internet monitoring of jobs as they are processed by the workflow.

SmartMove jobs and tools can be spread across networked servers to perform dedicated tool functions and load balancing for very high workloads. The network is totally transparent.

SmartMove Image Viewer:

The SmartMove viewer allows the RIPed but unscreened files to be interactively viewed on screen. Zoom and pan functions highlight font, overprinting and positioning issues before commitment to hard copy proof. Separations can be viewed individually or superimposed to display the final printed result.

OPEN Systems Integration:

Additional modules provide trap and copydot input functionality together with support for industry standard packages for OPI and Imposition.

Proprietary Systems Integration:

With speciality modules capable of bi-directional file conversion to and from proprietary formats, SmartMove integrates seamlessly into the environments of Scitex and Fuji/Crosfield. Legacy imaging devices can be driven in their native format thereby increasing return on investment.
